8th Annual Wooden Bat Classic Huge Success

The 8th Annual Wooden Bat Classic attracted 20 teams in the 3 age divisions.

The combined 12-13u division was won by the Ohio Elite with an exciting 8-7 victory over the Cin-Day Voodoos in the final.

The 14U division was captured by the Cy Young D-Backs who knocked off Backstop Bats 18-10 in an offensive final.


The 16u was won by the Danville Mustangs squad. Danville played solid baseball all weekend and won the championship 4-2 over Patterson Park.

Sixteen teams battled in three age groups for the 2009 Cincinnati World Series baseball tourney.

The 9U division was captured by the Cincy Red Stockings who won their second Pastime Park crown of the season. They defeated the Indiana Mustangs in the final.

In the 11U the Riverbats went undefeated to roll to the championship. The won the last round robin game against the Midland Tomahawks in a battle of undefeated clubs. The Riverbats came out blazing and defeated the Tomohawks 12-1 to capture the crown.

The 12U was a hotly contested divison of strong teams. The Indiana Irish prevailed by going 4-0 in pool play to capture the division crown.

The 2009 4th of July Extravaganza was held July 4th weekend at Pastime Park in the 10u and 11U divisions.

The 10U division was won by the Queen City Crush who went undefeated in pool play and outlasted the Cincinnati Padres in the final. The Crush got timely hitting and played great defense in the final to upend an aggressive Padres club. The game ended with a diving catch by CF Troy Wagner to preserve the victory. Wagner also got the win for the Crush. The Crush got timely hitting all weekend with Cameron Stockman, Reid Simon, Joey Stevens and Wagner leading the way. Congrats Crush on a fine way to end the season.

The 11u was a hotly evenly contested tournament with the TCYO Slammers Red winning the division by going undefeated in the 5 team round robin. The Slammers won two games in the bottom of the last inning and showed some great defensive efforts to carry them to the championship. Congratulations Slammers as your team showed the heart of a champion this weekend.





The 2009 Harrison Classic was held June 12-14 at Pastime. 22 teams played in the age groups 9u thru 13U.

The 9U division was won by the Monroe Hornets who held off the Cincinnati Stix in a rain shortened final. The 10U division was won by the Indina Express who beat the Haubner Hornets in the final. The 11U champs erer the Fairfield Braves and the 13U was captured by the Bloom County Dawgs.












Pastime Park kicked off the 2009 baseball season with the Pre Season Open Tournament. A total of 37 teams competed in the 6 divisions 9U - 14U.

The Red Stockings went undefeated to capture the 9U division and defeated Visitation in the final.

JB Yeager won the 10U division by going undefeated in pool play and defeating Visitaion 4-3 in the final game in a very well played contest.

In the 11U division the Westside Raiders went 4-0 and defeated St.James in the final game.

In the 12u divison the Cincy Westars defeated the Lakota Diamond Dogs to capture the title.

The 13U championship went to Delhi Eagles who avenged a previous loss to defeat the Future Stars.

The Butler County Bombers went undefeated in pool play and beat the Fairfield Chiefs in the final 13-4.

Congratualations to all the winners and thanks to all the teams for making it a successful start to the 2009 baseball season.
